I am currently looking for two doors and a tailgate for a 1979 Chevy Luv, if anyone has either they are willing to sell let me know. Also if you happen to see some when you stop by a junk yard or anywhere else for that matter get a price for me ( and maybe a pic of them) and I will get the money to you asap, because I need them so I can start painting the truck and finally get the thing on the road :)

you might as well look around your area.
i just went and got me a new door and let me tell you there pretty heavy. i'd say maybe 60 to 70 pounds with the glass.
i imagine the tailgate would be twice as much :(

Them suckers are heavy. I know that I had to sweat putting the doors on my LUV that I took off my parts truck.

I didn't have a jack - so I used my wies concrete bricks she wanted me to put around the house. Now they aren't getting put in untill after the LUV is working.... 8-)

Can't hold the door up on your own?? Man you guys are weaklings... back before my LUV was running I had to tow the entire thing around myself like a L.L.BEAN school bag. I'd walk to school, work, and back with the LUV still strapped on my back. harness tied to my shoulders, truck sitting right on my back. I live in CT, that means it was up hill both ways... through the snow. and I LIKED IT!
Of course, I am but joking with all you good people....

Anyway what I really wanted to say is I too would love to get my hands on a door where the bottom of it isn't gone from rust like mine. But, sucks it'd be at expensive. Ah well, I have some tweaking to do on my power steering setup to make it factory perfect anyway.

I got the old doors that are in rather fair shape on mine, but the door is dented in and the inside of the door needs to be rebuilt.

If I could get a price on just the doors it would be great, I already know the shipping will prolly be 40 bucks or so per door, because I had a rear chrome bumper shipped from Texas already for around $30. So just get me a price and I can check on shipping. Thanks.

Will get to the bone yard this Sat since everything has calmed down. Had a tornado run through the neighborhood about half a mile from here, so now it is all cleaned up I am free as a byrd.
