Well he doesn't say what year his truck is. He doesn't say what year title he wants. So sounds pretty fishy to me. :? Did you get a LUVTruck.com PM from him, or was it your personnal email?

From personal experiance NEVER NEVER NEVER sell a title and VIN plate !!!!!!! No mater how good you know the person, It can come back to haunt you. Sell them at least the cab or body and the title and then what they do with it is not your problem.

Sounds like a got email for the trash.

Yeah,
It's me who asked this to be posted. As I said I have had my my LUV truck since 1980. I bought it new. I have put a little over 300,000 miles on the original 4 banger. I have recently replaced it with a rebuilt engine of the same size and style. I had the truck ripped off all the smog equipment and bracketry. So my choises are limited to buying another LUV 74, or eariler and doing a swap so I can get the vehicle registered. My request is to buy a clear title and vin plate and reinstall it on my vehicle.

have you contacted someone to find out if you can get a pardon or something from the smog equipment? I assume you live in cali. with their strict requirements.

most states, i know here in texas, require you to still have all of the smog stuff hooked up, they look at it to make sure its there, they just don't smog it. so you might still need to have the pump. i might can help you out with getting some smog equipment. i have everything on my parts truck, except a smog pump. here in texas any vehicle 24 years and older does not have to be smogged. so an 80 would not have to. move down here and you can get it inspected. :lol:
