Well the carb was not getting any gas, so I ckecked the pump it works....

checked the lines they look ok. OLD but ok.

hot wired the pump removed the line on the cab side of it. put the wire to the batt. and it pumps put put put put ...
no gas comes out.

by passed the filter did the same procedure same result.
is they soming in the tank that could be clogged.

BTW the truck set for 7 years with some gas in the tank I filled it up when we got it running and yeas it was running good for about a week.

I did pump 6 gallons out of the tank and it came out clean.

any ideas?

thanks
Rigel

My guess is that after you started driving it, you broke some crud loose and possible sucked it in the line. Any chance of running a small wire back throught the line to the tank? If you have a aircompresser try putting pressure in the tank through where the gas goes in, maybe you can blow the line out.

My truck sat for about a year and clogged up several fuel filters; and rebuilt the carb twice. I had the gas tank boiled and sealed. It wasnt that expensive and was worth it.

You might want to check the fuel filter inside of the pump, if there is one if it is the stock pump you can take it off and turn the nut on the side of the pump where the ground wire is hooked up and there is a filter inside. Shane
