Post subject: 72 luv with tranny problem

I have a 72 luv...but theres a catch...it has the 72 toyota 8rc engine and auto tranny in it. It all works excellent! but...the tranny wont go in reverse. I can put it in reverse but it does not go. Any ideas whats to be done to fix this?

i would check linkages and fluid level. Make shure fluid is good and the linkages are tight. If that dosnt work then drain the fluid and see if its burnt or anyhting.

check the vaccume lines going to the tranny and check the servo's
