Does anybody know where I can get a conversion from points to an electronic ignition for a '75. I was thinking about the conversion from an '82 but the shafts are different. I found one by petronix, but I heard they suck. Does anybody know the website for mallory?

I used Pertronix on my '72 F250 , and it never failed in the 15 years it was in the truck. I got the Unilite in my '80 LUV, and it works great. $300, though.

Hey man. I'm running a Crane Cams XR-3000 in my LUV. I can tell you that it was worth every penny ($100) from JC Whitney. They make an XR-700 too, and I don't know what the difference is, but I know it'll work too. For the price, I think its the best thing out there. Faster starts, better milage, more power... the list is endless. DO IT!!

So all u gotta do is get that 3000 kit and it has everything to turn your points dist. into an electronic one and u hook it up and it all electronic? What part number was your xr3000 beetlehv? I see there are many different kits...what year truck is yours? I need one to fit my 79 luv 4x4...also, did you buy the ps91 coil or use the stock one???
