I went to ajust my parking break and the key that locks the ratchet on the parking break shaft is warn out. And will no longer hold the break in place. I need to replace the key or regrind it, but am unable to get it the key out. Any suggestions?

I suggest salvage yards. If you go to grinding on it, you may or may not get the brake to release. If you can find a complete unit in good working order, then I would replace the whole thing.

i had this happen to me aswell. I took and bent the lever a bit so that it will engage and everything. Youll have to pull the tire and cover off to do this. But if you can i would pull it off another truck thatrs not worn out.
