CA Luv owners please go to the link below and sign the petition to raise the smog exempt year to 1980. It stopped at 1975, but be much nicer if we can get his bill passed and raise it 1980.

Yep no problem shared it on my fb groups and my other pages Yes. that option would be Nice

I was kinda planning, after my next smog test (Petition or not), and currently working out the details on trading a early valance for a Offenhauser Intake Manifold..then pick up a new Weber.

Up here in WA it's 25 years old so at this point we are about to do anything with 91 and older. Would be great for you guys to get on a sliding scale like that at this point 35 years would still get you to 81

It use to be on 30 years old sliding scale, but they changed it in 2004. It be nice to get the sliding scale back.

No thanks. As usual the politicans will not give without taking. They sliped in the smog rest of motorcycles in this bill. Did anyone read it?

Good catch Luvrv8. I should have read the bill more carefully. Thanks for pointing that out.

It doesn't say they are checking bikes now but it lays out the path to. This is called pork barrel. Wait until you read the final bill, it will be 20 pages and a ton of other items in it too.

That's why my wife reads the whole thing before voting on propositions. I don't know how she can stay awake with all the boring legalese, but she always finds some hidden part that they don't talk about on the commercials and stuff.

To me it reads that motorcycles are exempt at least until they figure out a way to smog check them. That could be a while before anything changed.

My point is I don't own a bike but I have a 78 Luv that needs a V8 stuffed into it so I'll sign it and hope for the best. 8)
