for you guys out there who are stil running a stock four banger, (or farely stock, weber and header and bored is stock enough) what kind of gas mileage do you get? i have a 80 4x4 and i was wondering what kind of gas mileage it wil get. it has 27 inch tires and stock gears, stock t-case, stock manual trannie. it better get better then 12mpg!! :!: :!: 8O

This is no bullshit. I have everything stock but a header and a weber. I usually put 12 gallons in my truck, and usually go 230 miles between fill-ups. That equates to a shade over 19 mpg. True I tell ya.

no bull, i used to get 20 shy from 400, a tank. i also lowered the rpm to 700 at idle :lol:

i was getting a little better than 20, when i had my 215 75 r15s on it, haven't really street drivin mine since i stepped down to the 27s. probably will hurt me on the highway. this was all done when mine was completely stock.

I told my wife that we are taking our trucks, selling the house and moving to Austrailia. She said why? I told her cause the US can only produce ugly things, and if you wanted to , you could take a day trip to New Zeland.

Her eyes perked up.

When last I looked I was getting 23-32 MPG on my truck before my dumb ass brother wrecked it.
