well the MUA5 is a truck 5speed whith integrated transfer case. Its the big brother of the 4speed whith transfercase that the luvs came whith. But im perry shure if you find the 2wd version of the MUA5 it should be the same.

oh but one thing i know i wont happen, the MUA5 going into a luv gracefully. You will be bale to see when i get pics taken of it that it is a fair bit bigger than the luv tranny/transfercase. Also the tranfer case section of it has a good amount of droop to it (it also has a finer spline slip yoke to it. So youll need a slip yoke from the doner vehicle). It drops down a good 5" from the main body of the transmision, where as the luv transfer case has 1" of droop maybe. Well anyway ill stop rambling now

I have a late 1987 ISUZU PUP that has the very same 5 speed gearbox as the trooper. The PUP is just the same truck is a 1982 LUV.

yeah i know the PUPs were perty much uncahnged frame wise untill they stopped making em. The MUA5 is quite alot bigger so some custom mounts will be in order. Ill be pulling it off tomarow and seeing if it goes on my 1.8L this weekend.

Here's a piece of Trivia. I ordered rear wheel bearings for my LUV when I had my 81. I had a 77 2wd, 80 4X4 and an 81 2wd and all of the rear axle bearings were different!

Isn't that sumfin?

well the blocks are quite a bit diferent. So thet MUA5 wont be bolt up to a 1.8L.
