Hello all

I blew the head gasket in my luv, so while the head is in at the shop I am going to replace the old heater hoses. I have been able to replace the one running from the water pump back to the intake manifld, but I cannot find the 3 other heater hoses from both Napa and Carquest. Anyone know where I can get them? Or is it best to just buy some bulk hose and try to bend stuff around and make it work? Thx

I think he has a 80 4X4. If so I have not seen a listing for those hoses for many years. You will have to go to a parts store and match them us the best you can.

yep my bad, 1980 luv 4x4 mikado.

And thx for the info... I was afraid I would have to just go match stuff up. That is ok, it can be done. I did already replace one hose with just some bulk heater hose, no kinks so it should work.

Wonder if 2nd-gen hoses would be the same, if the engine is the same...not sure about the location of heater core pipes. But those hoses are still available, so that's where I'd start if matching hoses by eye.

I just replaced all of mine a few weeks ago after the bypass hose blew out on my way home from work. I had planned to replace them all anyway as they were obviously old. Turns out most of them were original with the truck!

I was able to find a preformed bypass hose (fortunately), though I did need to order it. I was also able to find radiator hoses to order. The rest of the heater hoses I was able to use bulk heater hose, though I kept it a bit longer to limit the kinking in a few places.
