I've read a lot messages about interchanging parts from troppers to luvs, I don't know much about the troppers. What years would interchange with my 1975, when did they start building the troppers?

well i have been looking at this in my service manual. The trooper front ends are heavy duty and are completly diferent. But what i have been looking at is the PUPs. The sewrvice manual i have overlaps whith my luv manual by 2 years (81-82) and the isuzu manual dosnt seem to specify years for the pickups, just motor and trans. Im planning on trying to find a 90s isuzu pickup and looking at it realy close to see if they realy are simillar. If so, that means the 4x4 guys should be able to make Clamini 3" lifts work on luvs :D

Todd... they started the Trooper in 84 I believe. From 84- 86 the Troopers were generally the same. The parts that most people are referring to when they talk about them interchanging with the LUV is usually suspension items because they're almost exactly the same to the LUV. The Troopers also have larger engines and a 5 speed tranny which are generally from the same family as the LUV's 1.8/ 4 speed. If you browse the other posts here you'll come across some posts regarding motor/trans swaps from the Trooper and whats involved.

well the trooper and the pickups are vary diferent in some regards. The lower A-arms are diferent and the bell housings on the "big block" 4s is diferent from the 1.8L. Pickups are a closer match.
