I've seen a lot of LUVs, and the only auto trans 4x4 I've laid eyes on was a V8 with a TH350 behind it, not exactly a stock option. Maybe Isuzu did some overseas models with auto and 4x, but I think it was well into the 80s before they put an auto in a 4x4 model of any kind. My 86 Trooper factory service manual makes no mention of an auto trans for example.

Last time I knew, when they did the LUV's for Mexico and Brittan, they had changed some of the engine and tranny options, but that was sheesh 6 or 7 years ago that I looked for that info? :wink:

Did it say what years had the Hydromatic vs standard option?
