Wanted to see if anyone has had there head redone and the hose attachment on front of the head is gone? Started hooking up everything and realized after I've installed it. Tried to pull one off other head but it desinigrated under a little pressure. Anyone got a part number or do i have to take the whole head back off and take it to machine shop to get it pressed on?

Thanks
OX

I had a similar problem with my '79 several years ago. I used standard plumbing fittings to fix the problem. I don't remember the exact sizes, but here is what I did. I tapped the outlet hole (1/2" pipe I think), screwed in a street elbow with 3/4 " (maybe 1'') female outlet, screwed in a short nipple, and attached the water hose to the nipple. Have had no problems in years.

As I said, I don't remember the thread sizes, but you can inspect/measure the outlet hole in the head and the hose size and select the appropriate elbow and nipple. I would suggest using brass fittings and Permatex the threads.
