1. I'm looking to try a new wheelset for my truck. Was thinking about running 15" rims. I have a set of old Toyota wagon wheels. What is a good tire size & brand to run for 95% street use?

2. If I kept my 14's, what tires (brand/sizes) have the best performance to cost ratios?

3. Also, I would love to find a vintage JDM 70's style rim set to get really fancy. SSR, Watanabe, Volk, etc. What are some sizing parameters I would need to stay within with a stock 4x4 setup? Any suggestions on where to find these types of truck wheels aside from ebay?

Thanks in advance for the guidance!

It would be great if anyone/everyone who has found wheels that work well would post pics and original application.
The lug pattern is the easy part. Set back is the trick. Some wheels will bolt up but rub at full turn. Modern wheels (Like from a Chevy Colorado) bolt up but are flush or nearly flush on the outside with a very deep dish on the inside so they aren't a good fit.

Photo is a Nissan "Star Wars" wheel. Bolts up but rubs at full turn.

15" wheels or bigger are fine if tires are not too big.

Mikado is a trim package and is not relevant to the topic.

The reason I mentioned Mikado was that it implied 4wd, but I'm not sure if there is any difference between 2wd that would warrant different wheel selection. I'm surprised there isn't a sticky for this yet. Maybe the mods should delete this thread and I'll start a new one titled: "Post your aftermarket wheel and tire combo here." It would good to compile this database!

A sticky with wheels that work well would be great.

Ok, I'm going to start a new thread labeled "wheel database" or something.

You do understand that Mikado is a trim level, two wheel drives are also available in the Mikado trim package.
