Newbie question:

What exactly does the sensor/switch on the clutch pedal do? I tried searching for it, but now I'm more confused than before. Truck keeps turning off as if it lost fuel, and this morning (while waiting for my ride to work, because it wouldn't go past two blocks from home :smt064) it seemed as if it turned off every time I stepped on the clutch, didn't have too much time to test this theory until now. Going to go see if I can figure something out.
Any suggestions?

Ok, I found my shop manual, and it's supposed to be part of the "coasting richer system" whatever that is.. the diagrams show relays wired in series. I'm going to bypass the clutch switch and see how it goes.. :D
