I have a friend with a stock 81 LUV that paid to have his carb rebuilt. As we all know it's next to impossible to get it right. What weber carb are most of you having the most luck with? I told him to buy a weber and get the air horn adapter to fit the stock air cleaner to push it through California emissions.

i love my 32/36 dgev, electric choke is really nice to have. i am thinking about wiring it to a switch tho, it kind of decides when it wants to drop the choke, usually too early. but it is really easy to dial in the tuning on it, takes maybe 30 minutes to get it set pretty well.

I'm in the same situation right now, Hitachi carbs suck. Still trying to get info about using a Weber in CA (damn smog checks)...
