Searched around a bit, and hope this is not redundant. I have a 79, and recently replaced the engine with a re-manufactured one. My radiator is a little worse for wear, and I don't want to risk blowing up another 1.8. I'm looking to replace the radiator with another one. Any suggestions for what to buy that will install with minimal alterations? Thanks.

64-66 Mustang radiators were the closest I've been able to find. I have one, but it's not yet installed. My radiator is fine as long as I keep it under 55

Any one else have any ideas? Just want to have options. Maybe some pointers from someone that's done the swap?

Why don't you just take your radiator to a radiator shop and get it recored? It will be cheaper than getting a new one and if you have a reputable shop do it they can put more cooling capacity in it. Aldo have you guys hears of a thing called a flex fan? Or have you tried an electric cooling fan? These things will help keep your little truck cooler and frees up what little horsepower we can get!

I'm the first to admit I'm not the most mechanically inclined. Can do simple repairs starter, water pump etc. Could you please elaborate on the Flex Fan and a little about the process to install an electric fan?
