has anyone ever had issues w/ their isuzu elec. ignition? my truck is sputtering big time under low throttle/cruising conditions,it does not do this under throttle.I am starting to think it might be an ignition module issue.it there a way to have it tested? cap n rotor are good, putting in fuel filter tomorrow, compression is 140-150.plugs good.sigh :(

You used to be able to take them to a parts store and get them tested..but now the just tell you to replace them. Check the resistance and volts to coil. Also check your wires.

Well I'm having the same problem in my 78' and it's converted to the electronic isuzu dist. Did you ever find out the cause? I did a fuel filter, vacuum test, deleted egr, header, weber carb kit and new exhaust, carb, and intake manifold gaskets. About to rebuild the carb and also do a head gasket soon too but please get back to me. Thanks

so problem solved? the electronic dizzys done really have many parts that will wear out as long as timing is set right they are pretty much maintenance free other than cap and rotor.
now ya just need a weber and some pacesetter headers
