Ok so I've got my stock Carb back together now and back on the truck. It started right up but. Has a very high idle.
after looking it over it seems the choke unloader plate that's supposed catch the primary throttle valve is well not catching and staying stuck open. I really don't want to pay $250 for a shop to fix this when I'm parting the truck out anyways. I just want part buyers to be able to hear it run.

Ill get a video posted soon as I can but its 100 outside right now and killing me to even open my front door

Mine has always stuck a little bit... My solution, Manual choke. Still sticks a little but some carb cleaner and plenty of repetitive movement seems to have helped. Kinda like my manual choke better now anyway.

Yea but that's not what's happening.. changing the idle or mixture screw does absolutely nothing.
I'm honestly surprised I got it back together after breaking it down cleaning and replacing orings gaskets and crush washers..

The adjustment screw for the primary throttle valve does not catch the kick plate at all and if I make. While running it just rechokes and messes up again. I guess imma have to make a video..

I know the idle and air screws can be really touchy, I think I have the instructions on how to set them on my hood, Will take a picture of that if you need. That's all I got

I know how to set idle and air screws.. I'm saying while trucks running if I adjust either. Of them there is zero difference in how it runs or idles.

Its the linkage I need to know-how to set.
