 Post subject: stock tire size

I was wanting to put the stock tire size back on my 79 4x4 luv can anyone tell me what it is.

Well I was looking through my Clymer manual but couldn't find anything for the 4x4. If your truck hasn't been repainted (in the door jambs). It should say the tire size on the drivers door jamb, hopefully it is still readable.

well my little 4x4 came whith 26x7.50R14 BFG A/Ts originally (i still have my original spare 8O ). And 79 and 80 were the same body styl so yours should be the same. Though i must say its not to clear 27.5s...

Mine is not a 4by but the tires are 215/75/14

we have had two brand new luv's the first came in 1980 and it was fitted with 185/14 as standered. The second came in 1987 and it was on 185/14 as well.But you had the option of 215/75/14 on the 4x4's.

The factory door sticker on my 1980 4X4 reads F70-14.

yeah the old F70-14 is a designatio thats not been used in about 20years. The metric equivilant is 215 75 14
