I was very pleased today with 9.9 gallons and 191 miles for 19.3. I hadn't checked millage in a long time. It has seemed to me that I was putting a lot of gas in it for all the more I drive it so last time I filled up, I wrote the millage down. When it was new, I remember about 20 around town and 25 on trips. Needless to say, many more stop signs and stop lights here now and dolts on their cell phone at green lights.

My last fillup:
570 miles / 15.493 gallons = 36.8 mpg. The previous week was over 37, but it had a fuel leak that was getting worse and I finally sealed it. Also got the A/C working, that might help explain the drop. The next tank will tell!

I get around 4 1/4 mile races and 4 drive backs to the pits per gallon...

I take ti the majority of you guys do not have the gasoline 4x4. My mileage was never very good, mid 20's at best I think.

from what ive seen in my 80, im squeezing 20 to 26mpg depending on how i drive. i usually dont worry about mileage, but more about how long i can make the tank last.

I get about 22mpg. 4X4 1980. Calculated by mileage at first fill-up(M1) mileage at second fill-up (M2), and the difference (D) divided by the number of gallons for second fill-up (G).
M2-M1=D D/G=Miles Per Gallon.

Oh, and check out the factory brochure that someone so kindly posted on the main site page under "Information". There's a 1980 dealer brochure that states what the trucks should get, and I don't think much changed between '79 and '80.

BTW... you guys with the diesels stink... 33mpg!? 8O

Since my last post, Mine have been in the 36-38 range, with the last tank at 37.9. This is all IN TOWN (Memphis area) driving, with over 500 miles on the meter at each fill-up.

I happened to be downtown last week and getting low, and there's a station there that sells B20--so I'm running 20% biodiesel this tank. We'll see what that does.
