 Post subject: brake upgrade

dose anyone know if there is any brake upgrades for my stock axels. I am having a hard time stopping with these 30 in. tall tires on it. so if anyone can tell me how I can stop better.

Have you bled the brakes yet?Because before I bled my brakes I had problems stoping with a 22 inch tire. 8O Oh,if the pedal feels soft you may be low on brake fluid or they need to be bled,and you might need new brake pads.

i would do a brake service. If that dosent work try downshifting to stop better (in both my trucks i never give any presure on the brakes untill imk about stopped anyway). If that still isnt good then try getting bigger disks from a trooper might work. Ask Karanosuke for the dimensions on a troopers brake disks.

what year of trooper can i get the brakes off of. And will they bolt striaght on with no major mods to do and what will i all need to do this. I still have my stock axels on it to.

well im not 100% shure if the trooper has bigger discs up front. If it does im perty shure 80-85 troopers had the same axle up front so it should go right on. Another place to ask would be the isuzu forum on pirate4x4.com.
