I just did a head gasket maybe 3 weeks ago, new t-stat, flushed entire cooling system, added coolant/overflow reservoir, and had head checked.

Truck was running perfect nice and cool didn't budge off the little normal line and well today for no reason it jumped with in about a 1/8 of the temp gauge from the "H" Don't smell any coolant. But I pulled the Oil cap and it was slightly milky there wasn't any milky build up on the dip stick though :?: . Any ideas on why it is starting to get warm again? As far as I can tell it's not going threw any coolant.

Did you retorque the head after a couple of heat cycles?

You hit it right on the nose there mytmouz It is absolutely imperative to clean the bolt holes and bolts use a good lube(i prefer copper coat) then re torque the head after a couple of heat cycles.

I have been seeing more head gasket problems lately that are the results of the gasket moving from being loose and the last Toyota motor i just built the to center bolts re torqued and moved another 1/8th turn and that's loose and yes some times re torquing the head is a pain but your there to re set the valves anyway (if your doing the job right) and changing the head gasket again is no fun either unless you enjoy self torture.
