The first distributor I had I returned (faulty ignition module) and found another one at a salvage parts place. But now I don't think it will fit. It doesn't have the pole thing on the bottom and it looks like it's too wide to fit onto the engine. The vacuum advance has two ports on it. Is it possible to swap the guts on it with my existing distributor? I'm at school so I don't have a pic yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'm thinking I should've taken up ctmandu's offer on that ignition module. Thanks in advance guys.

AAARRRGGGHHHH I just figured it out. The distributor is for the 1.5 liter and not the 1.8. Please someone out there, please tell me I can still salvage it. That the parts are interchangeable or something.

sorry but i don’t think so. look for a 83/85 trooper with internal modulator, if i remember wright

I'm gonna try it anyway this weekend and if it works then we know the 1.5 distributor works as well. I'm too pissed by not having this work I'm throwin' caution to the end. YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!11
