Well was curious. I found 2 chevy luvs 20 miles from me both pretty rough and non restorable. One 4x4 and one 2 wheel. and 1980's. Has all the parts in both but non running. Tranny and transfer is good in the 4x4. Hoods good, grilles good has keys and etc. Couple good fenders and doors, chrome wagon wheels and regular wheels and hub caps. Good door panels. The 2 wheel is a Mikado and hasred panels, One neat looking air gate on the 4x4.
Anyway point is he will probably crush them and I hate to see the good parts go. One windshiseld is bad. Each have sliders in the back and both beds are worthless. The frame on the 4x4 is rusted out bad, All the lights and side markers are intact. One bumper is bent a little and the other the chrome is bad

Was gonna maybe offer 125 for both and me haul them off and sell some of the parts if anyone needed the, I am pretty sure all the parts on the interior and uner the hood are there. Let me know and if possible I will try and get them for as low as possible. Will not mess with them if no one needs anything. I can also go and strip them and let him keepe the rest to crush but but wouldn't know what to offer.

i am currently negotiating a price for the 2 trucks. not sure if they will sell them for what i want to give. I sent them and offer this morning. will keep everyone posted. if i get them i can guarantee the parts will go cheap just to cover my expense.
I might be able to just go cut parts off and leave him the frames and cabs to sell for scrap and that way he can come out ok also.
I need to know how much i should offer top end.

If i were you i wouldnt pay more than $200 for both trucks combined.

Thats kinda what I thought. i offered 125 to 150 and they turned it down. Haven't heard back for the parts I told them I wanted. I figured if I could get all the lights bezels inition and keys door locks sunvisors door panels seat belts etc.
They have the side markers also. I would like a whole core support for a spare.
Anyway you all know the usual stuff. Will see what happens.

I have an 80 Chevy Luv Mikado. I am in need of a Clutch Arm and bracket?

They want 550 bottom dollar for the 2 trucks. I kinda gave up unless I could recoup some of my money. I get one for 250 and the other for 300.

About 6 months ago they where worth 400 in scrap metal each. Now there is no market for scrap metal.

I'd take a set of front turn signals if the lenses are good. My sister backed into mine. Her plastic car got the short end of the stick.

Thats what they are gonna do if no one buys them. Wait until scrap goes back up. i just hate to see good parts for these go to scrap.
There is 2 motors but the one is out , I was hoping to go back and look at the 2 wheel drive one and maybe be able to make a good one out of both for a drive around town truck.
wonder how how hard it is to swap a four wheel drive train in a 2 wheel one. I think the one motor used to run but it smells like varnish now. Either which way it would take a lot of work and time/

I did go up to 250 for the pair but they said their price was firm

They were supposed to send me pics of the 2wd but never did. I'm interested in the wheels on the 4x if they are 14's.

The wheels on the 4x4 are 14's I am pretty sure. They are wagon wheels and rusty chrome. Might try and go down tomorow and look at the white one. They want 250 for it. I know the fenders are rusted as is the bed. Couldn't see the frame or floor pans. Has red mikado interior panels and seat not bad. Motor is out but set in laying sideways for storage. Hood is straight but rusty in the front.
Glass is all good I believe.

No, i just got pics of the white one. I still say it is too high bu tthe white ones cab looks decent enough to use.
Giver me an email addy and I can forward you my pics. maybe we can work out something on the 2 together. i am kinda strapped for money so I can spend it on my new motor i am building for my 79 street stripper.

Yea i got the pics of the white one as well. I still think they are asking too much as well. I wouldn't mind having both but I don't have anywhere to keep them, oh and I've been laid off since dec. 5th. I'm just interested in the wheels on the 4x. I'm gonna call and see if they will sell just the wheels but I'm sure they won't.
