My question is where do I get the adapter plates from. Do I need the carb first or are all Weber bases the same and I just need to get adapters for 1979 LUV 1.8 from Redline? Or somewhere else???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want to buy something I can't use.

Karl

I found this late last night and I may be chasing my own tail. It's listed on E-bay as a Holley with the same mounting pattern as the Webber 32/36. It's also a hot water choke but I can get the electric choke for an additional $12. I know I may have jumped the gun posting this so late last night as a Weber. It was late, I had the Grandson all day and i saw Weber and $89. I just don't want to waste anyone's time. With that said I know just about any carb can be made to fit but would rather install a Weber if that's the consensus of what's best and naturally the model that requires the leat modifications to gas line/throttle.... connections. If anyone has installed a Holley, did you like it?

The Holley style is built by Webber and was used on several kinds of rigs but most notably is the Pinto/Mustang 2.3s and these used the hot water chokes also some were used on the 2.6 and early 2.8 Fords.
