alright i just did my rear axle. I put 80w90 in it, will this work. I couldnt find just straight 90wieght

Sure it will. I'd say most of us do use the 80w-90, like you saw 90w is hard to find.

what about auto trans fluid? i heard it lubes just as good as 80-90 but it is not as thick so you have more free motion?

atf would not lube as well as 90w. its far too thin.
