I just bought my LUV and I plan on draining my radiator tomorrow. I want to have look and see how it looks inside. I bought some radiator flush. My question is how do I know if I should flush it or just replace the whole thing. I believe this truck sat for about 10 years before I bought it. I am changing the thermostat and the water intake also (it looked pitted).
Thanks :?:

Flush it, refill it drive it see what it does. Shouldn't hurt to sit for a while

Flush it and run it. Make sure your temp gauge is hooked up and working when you first start running it though. It should warm up and start to move the gauge within a couple minutes. If it starts climbing above the mid line and towards the H, then you may need to worry about replacing the radiator.
