That is what I was thinking. Either that or check the filler neck and breather hose connections on the tank for a leak. I was getting water in my 77s tank and it turned out to be the small breather hose that leads from the tank to the filler neck. Gas should not have a measurable amount of water.
That said, it does like to get stuck in the pump when it is there. It is about the lowest point in the whole fuel system.
Maybe this is more of a problem in colder climates though, condensation on the inside of the tank and all. Oregon doesn't have too many really cold snaps on the west side down in the valley.
