Alright fellas, I feel like an idiot for asking this. :| I have only replaced carbs, never adjusted them. I just bought a 1978 Luv, it cranks easily but after 10 seconds or so, it cuts off unless I keep my foot on the gas. It will eventually idle by itself but runs very rough, maybe spark plugs are bad? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome. Check that the fuel cutoff solenoid on the carb. has power to it when the eng. is on.

It could be a plugged fuel filter too. Check the one on the frame next to the tank - it usually never gets changed because some people don't want to get dirty and get gas on them...lol

Well i haven't checked the solenoid yet but I have noticed that i have some really bad wiring. Until i get my hands dirty it seems like its probably electrical. Exams are over next week so well see what happens.
