'75 had the 1st gen engine. These are getting a bit tricky to find, but try here, he may still have it...

I have a later model engine for sale, it would probably go in your truck. The factory pieces to put it in are all available, but I'm haven't seen an early engine in a truck, so I don't what's involved. I'm sure the other folks here will let you know how to do it, if you wanted to put a newer engine in.

Youre saying first gen, thats with the starter on the driver side????

The drive line out of pretty much any RWD 4cyl Isuzu will fit as a bolt in thing.

I-mark
Impulse
Pickup

etc

What you will need is all the engine mounts off the same family motor out of an early trooper or pickup or later luv.

Theres two different familys of motors. Both have the same bellhousing patterns with the starter on the passenger side. (auto transmissions dont swap, the flex plate/converter mounting arrangments are different)

G-series. (timing chain)
G180- in the later luvs and I-mark
G200- in the early trooper, pup and with efi in the Impulse. The EFI impulse motor has higher compression.

4Z series. (timing belt)
4ZC1-Turbo with efi in the Impulse.
4ZD1- Trooper (II i think) later pup, amigo and in the impulse with efi.
4ZE1- All had EFI in the Trooper II and the pickup and amigo as well.

Cheers, Bob
