Just saw your new pictures, and that engine looks nice. 8) You did such a nice job, and I liked the way you painted it up. Thanks for the update. I enjoyed it. :lol:

Damn that is looking good. I am real impressed with that engine bud :D . Looks great. Are you runnin those super swamper tsl thornbirds? If so, how well do you like the way they clean out? I am curious cause I am gonna go ahead and lift mine to accomodate at least a set of 31's. Probably 33's.

Thanks , for the coments you guys.Now if i could get the rest done , it might start looking like a real truck! Grimice, if your going to put 33s on your truck ..i think ya would have to cut the fenders a bit. Tsl thornbird tires are really good , although they are a little pricey.I run 16 pounds of air in them and they still look big. Anyways thanks again guys.

Well, I am building my own suspension lift. I will build my own brackets and hangers for everything and will take lots of pics. I am trying to do this without any cutting of the fenders. If it works, you all will be the first to know :wink:

Cool,.. Im looking foward to seeing how your doing on your experiment! I dont know how you are thinking you can keep your steering radius the same. I have deep dish rims, or some people call negatives, on my truck with the 33s and sometimes if you turn left or right to hard it well rub the frame...but usually only if i have the truck on a slope or hillside.Plus the rear tires hit the fender wells,i thought about moveing the fender wells in about 4", but now that i have lifted it more..i dont think it well be a problem. I still have 8" shackels in the rear. I wont know how it works untill i dip it into the mud again. Thats going to be soon!

Sweet. When I built my Blazer, I cut my steering arm and welded in a tall piece of steel to make up for the 18 inches of lift I put under it.

Looks like a serious mudden machine.Did ya have to rework your drive shafts? What ya runnen for your power plant? I lifted an old Dodge once and put 44s on it. Did good except for the 318 didnt produce enough power, so i put a 455 out of 69 gto in it...Man what a difference!! Man what alot of work. Sure wish i could figure out how to insert pictures like you just did!

Thanks. The plant was a 327. It had a steel crank, forged pistons, 202 double hump heads, stainless valves, a 288 cam, single plane intake with a holley 750 double pumper carb, and a good set of headers. All in all it was about 400 hp. It had 1 1/4 ton axles, 5.87:1 gears, detroit lockers at both ends, a 4 speed one ton trans and transfer case. I had alot of fun with that truck.

Once you have the pic uploaded to the site, you have to click on the photo, and then click on link for auction on the left side of the screen. Once you get the url (highlight the url and right click. select copy) then you can paste it to your message here. In front of the pick type [img](brackets%20included).%20%20After%20the%20url,%20type[/img]. That way, the pic will show up and not a link to it.

BTW, the driveshafts were custom. The front was just shortened (the military axles had longer pinion shafts) and the rear driveshaft was out of a schoolbus. A buddy of mine helped me build it. He just shortened the bus shaft, and welded my slip yoke on it.
