Thanks. The plant was a 327. It had a steel crank, forged pistons, 202 double hump heads, stainless valves, a 288 cam, single plane intake with a holley 750 double pumper carb, and a good set of headers. All in all it was about 400 hp. It had 1 1/4 ton axles, 5.87:1 gears, detroit lockers at both ends, a 4 speed one ton trans and transfer case. I had alot of fun with that truck.
To insert a pic, you have to have it saved on a website like
http://www.photoisland.com .
Once you have the pic uploaded to the site, you have to click on the photo, and then click on link for auction on the left side of the screen. Once you get the url (highlight the url and right click. select copy) then you can paste it to your message here. In front of the pick type . That way, the pic will show up and not a link to it.
kinda like this
BTW, the driveshafts were custom. The front was just shortened (the military axles had longer pinion shafts) and the rear driveshaft was out of a schoolbus. A buddy of mine helped me build it. He just shortened the bus shaft, and welded my slip yoke on it.
