So I bought myself a LUV, drove it the 330 miles home with no problem, then drove it down a bumpy dirt road and she starts missing real good. It has a rebuilt 1.8 in it with the Weber upgrade. So I spray some carburetor cleaner around in there while she’s running and I found myself a leak on the carburetor gasket where it meets the spacer so I replaced the gasket and tightened it down and it worked great again for a bit and then I got the sputters again after another bumpy road. So I took the carb off again and noticed that one of the studs was getting loose where it comes out of the spacer on top of the intake manifold. My question is, is it probably the best fix to just re tap that hole for a slightly bigger stud or is there a better fix? Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
