Can i pull my power steering pulley, and just replace cap on crank pulley without screwing anything up?

I'm looking at getting the 24x19 radiator and fan combo from griffin radiators. However its 1/3" too deep to keep my current pulley system as is. I dont use power steering currently, so it wouldn't negatively affect my LUV in that capacity.

Thank you in advance,
-KB

I’d imagine you could do this... however, these trucks never had power steering from the factory. Not sure what conversion has been done to yours.

What's the outer pulley/missing belt for? I got the truck without these parts

Would that outer pulley & missing belt be for models that came with AC?

Either way, does anyone know if these pulleys separate or if I need to find a single groove pulley to replace it with?

Something like this... https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Holley-9 ... 91663.html

Yeah the mikado models came with ac. Not sure if the pulley separates but you could maybe find a single groove in a junkyard or buy one from someone here.

Looks like the crank pulley is single groove and the water pump pulley is double.

Yes those are two separate pulleys and you can remove the outer one. You may have bolt length issues to deal with, but it can be done I think.

So after some other projects took over, I finally got to check on those pulleys. They do come apart, however the water pump shaft still sticks out too far. Is a shorter shaft water pump made for those who don't run AC?

A/c trucks had a fan clutch. Non a/c had no clutch and a fan with fewer blades. I'm thinking that's where the problem is. Different style fans have different thicknesses.

Well this isn't an overly thick rad/fan combo. It is within 1/4" of fitting, but that gosh darn water pump/pulley shaft.

File comment: As you can see, I got the 2nd pulley off, but even putting on an after market single setup, that shaft is still poking out. I know small blocks came with short and long shaft water pumps. But don't know anything about this isuzu setup

I'm trying to remember, I think a spacer is used in place of the pulley. I doubt there two different water pumps for these trucks. I know what you mean on the SBC though.
