Hi, I am very new to this site. I don't own a LUV Pickup, but do own a 1981 LUV Chevy Step Side bed that I made into a trailer. This past weekend I was heading for Pismo Beach for the weekend end and blow a tire on the trailer (right side) and it took off the fender (fender went by by) (destroyed it) :( . Does anyone know were I can get a fender to replace the one that is gone now. Thanks any help will be greatly appreciated!! :(

Welcome to the site PuttPutt56

SS Luv beds pop up every once in a while, I'd keep checking CL as well.

Wait. The step side was not offered on second gen LUVs.

You could get a stepside bed for any minitruck back in the day (none were factory). Probably need a pic of the other fender to help find one, there were a few different style of fenders made.

so Jack (or anyone else who may know) What year did the step-side beds come out ?

I was told my 77 step-side (SS) has a 78 bed but how do you tell the year on beds?

Tilted....I've never seen a bed on a 2nd gen Luv ...It looks ok :)

noticed the fuel fill nozzle on the pass side too.. was that modified & are the tanks on 2nd gen on that side of the frame ?

Gen II Luvs have fuel fill on the passenger side. Real handy if you own a right hand drive truck ;)

Never saw a 81-82 with a step side bed until now (above photo).

My 91 Mazda B2600i filled on the passenger side. I never even noticed it was a "thing" until I was nearly hit while assisting a Hyundai driver in the middle of the night, gassing up on the driver side. My in progress custom tank for my LUV [79 4x4] will fill on the passenger side, because that's where the tank will sit.
And the truck in that picture IMO,is one of the "rightest" looking Luv step sides I've ever seen.
