Has anyone ever tried to swap out the Isuzu motor with the iron Duke I have one sitting here just wondering if it's more work than its worth?

Well...

If you've got one already sitting there and have a longitudinal transmission for it, it probably wouldn't be a big ordeal. If you have fabrication skills.

That being said, the duke wasn't a great motor. There are a lot of great candidates out there for a swap that can be done just as easily. 4.3s are cheap and plentiful, and there are bolt-in mounts available.
