Hey guys, new here and wanted to show off my project for the next few years it seems. Its in good shape for being one of the vary few LUVs in Michigan. But since their isnt many near me, parts are kind of scares. Any help would be appreciated. I don't have a picture of the damaged side (will post what i have soon) but Im going to need a new passenger fender and drivers window (from an attempt to steal it)

Parts come up for sale here from time to time. A window and fender will come available quicker then a lot of other parts. Welcome to the site.

In case you didn't know, any fender 72-80 will interchange. Any glass from 72-77 will interchange. Good luck.

Thanks! I knew about the fenders being interchangeable, but I figured the window would be the same years.

In 78, the wing was eliminated from the windows. The headlights also went from 4 to 2.

This is the damage to my passenger side

She was used on a farm before i got her. Story is the previous owner was going around a corner an hit a ice patch, with a full load in the bed, and hit a tree.

That's not too bad, you need to get the fender off and see how the inner fender looks. 8)

If you decide you need a new one I might be able to supply one. It has a little bit of rust behind the wheel, but it's better than that!

Let me know!

I am redoing my 73 luv and will have some parts from a donor truck available and I ran into hard to find parts also.
I had to be creative to rebuild some or find something different that works.

I just hit a brick wall with the motor out of my 73 luv. The motor can be easily rebuilt but can not find a full set of gaskets many places have listings for them but no one can get them. Yes I found most of them but not all of them so instead of selling the motor out of my donor truck I am going to try and have it rebuilt but when I tried to turn it over manually it didn't budge and the oil was like peanut butter.
