I searched first using terms "coil" "lowering" "v8" etc etc... but didn't see any posts on this subject.

When I go to drop in my sbc in the 78 luv.. do you have to do anything to the front suspension? As in do the tortion bars handle it ok? Does the front end "slam" the ground going over bumps? Do you have to do crank up the bars when putting in a sbc? That's what I am trying to figure out.

Thanks X

Short answer: the stock bars are fine. No adjustments necessary. It's always fun to tweak though.

The only problem running the stock torsion bars is header. The selection is very small.
If you run hooker headers SBC Mounts, You Can't Run Power by ace Headers.
If you run Power by ace Mounting, You Can't use Hooker Headers.

But I've seen various people use blocker huggers with each mount, but have also read of people buying block huggers and still run into torsion bars.

I haven't gotten that far yet in my SBC build but If anybody has a Part number for the headers they used for their Power by ace mount kits, It would be great if you have pictures and a link to them.

**EDIT** anddddd I see in another thread your talking about this haha.
