Hello everyone, I'm new to this group. I have my Dad's 78 LUV, that he bought new. Recently we found the clutch/brake pedal support bracket had cracked near the clutch pedal pin. After Ihad the crack welded up, I reinstalled the bracket. When I was done, I found the brake pedal up way too high. I did this same repair about 25 years ago, but used a new part from Chevy. Now the braked pedal barely will touch the brake light switch. Nothing else was bent or broken. I normally restore Chevy Corvairs and I know them pretty well. Any suggestions?
