Hey Folks… I just bought a '79 Luv, and I'm super excited about it. That said, I live in Toronto Canada, and truth be told I'm not mechanically inclined (though I wish I was). Does anybody know any mechanics here in Toronto by chance who might be great with this truck? Thanks! H

just about any mechanic can work on these trucks they are about as simple as can be. even if you aren't mechanically inclined you can do a lot of it

Find an old, grey haired guy with no teeth. That is a mechanic who was around when these trucks were. Young guys only know how to plug into the computer and read what the problem is. Find an old guy that knows how to work on vehicles with a carburetor. They should know.

Ha! Amazing… I know a mechanic with no teeth already.
Next question, I need to get this thing shipped from Oregon… have any of you had good luck with specific shipping companies? Not sure whether I'll have it cross the border up to Vancouver, then shipped from there, or driven all the way to Toronto. I wish I had the time to do the road trip myself…
Thanks
