Just an intro,In the late 80s I had a 78 luv I did a v8 swap in.Had it for a few years and sold it.After regretting that for years and looking for the right one for years. I found and bought another this week finally.I picked up a 1980 with no motor and trans. It is in great shape with very little rust and the bed is in outstanding shape. One of the previous owners installed a bed liner which eliminated the normal wed side dings from it being single wall. As a bonus the guy threw in another complete cab in decent shape.
Now the fun part. Since I already did the v8 swap once. this time I will do a boosted v6 with auto trans, being I have 2 cabs, lets do an extended cab luv, cup the top 3 inches, pull the bed and build a flat bed and do a tandem rear axle
this what Im starting with
