hey guys changing the water pump on a new truck (hope thats really the issue)

said its full of coolent and fan is spinning, but its still overheating and there is a weird noise.

drain coolant, pull the radiator, remove the belts/pulleys, pull the water pump (loosening but not removing top bolt) and doing it all in reverse order.

anything tips/tricks/corks i should know about

never done this before... wish me luck!

Water pumps tend to chatter (or clatter) when they go bad, but in my experience, they usually lose water and that's what makes them overheat. You may also have a plugged up radiator. They lose efficiency over time, as passages become blocked.
