I'm having this weird issue with the GEN light it sometimes turns on and I can hear some weird nosiness coming from the voltage regulator ( the little gold box ) what is triggering it to do that any ideas??

These trucks are known for bad grounds and corroded fuse blocks. It's probably either a wiring issue or a bad voltage regulator.

I think it's the voltage regulator I have to sometimes just tap it to stop making the humming noise
