I firmly believe in introducing myself.

My username is Whitelightning79, because my LUV is a 1979 and yes, his name is White Lightning.

It was my grandpa's truck since 1981, so I've known it my whole life.

When talk of scrapping it began, I promptly snatched it up and got it running. It's made me walk a combination of 7 times, of unknown (but decent) mileage haha, and it's my daily driving project.

I'm looking for help maybe finding body parts, suspension help, etc. You get the idea. As of now, I don't need help, just fellowship lol.

I've tried to upload pics and change my profile picture but can't.. Maybe it's just my computer. It probably is.

I have been let walk a few times, but not since I fixed the fuse box. LUV's have a weak link in the electrical system, the fusebox. The terminals the wires connect are riveted to the fuse holders. A little age and corrosion, and you get electrical intermittents. I solved mine by taking it apart and soldering the joints. Others have cleaned it with lemon juice, and others a new fuse box.

Mine is a 77 which I did buy new.
