I'm looking to buy a soft or old school tonneau cover for a 75 short bed. The kind that snaps on. I'm going old school mini with this.

I'm going to do the same thing. You'll probably have to have one custom made though.

If you get a quote for one, see if you can get a better price on two. :-)

Hey, has anyone purchased from these folks? Their website is pretty sparse on details and this item is buried in the S10 section so I'm a bit skeptical. Would love to hear from someone that actually purchased this product.

Thanks for any input,
Eric Q.

I have not purchased from those people, but years ago I purchased that exact cover from auto zone. It used Velcro instead of snaps. It came with 2 support bars. It fit really well.

I have the old school cover with the snaps on my bed and I would recommend getting the velcro style. The first thing is the snaps chip the paint over time and as the cover shrinks it gets harder and harder to put it on since the snaps are fixed to the bed. It is impossible on a cold day and usually takes some sunshine to get it to stretch back out. I have had velcro on my old Luv and Ranger and liked it much better.

agreed. mine was hard to put on when it was cold, but it would've been impossible when if it had snaps.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

My only concern with the velcro is that it wouldn't have that taught (sp?) look. Does the velcro hold well enough that it can still look tight?

Thanks again,
Eric Q.

My velcro was 1.5" to 2" wide and plenty strong to hold it tight. I did not have cross bars on either of the two I have had. You do need to take them off in the rain or you will have a pond in your bed.

Mine stayed tight. Sometimes on the highway, in cold weather it would come undone from the back and flap around. I had crossbars on mine, and it helped to avoid the pond when it was raining.

You could always add snaps to it.
