I'm looking for a rebuild kit for my 1.8 ( the old one ) I decided not to do an engine swap to a 383. I just can't bring myself to it. Even though the 1.8 was JUST rebuilt from Hansen's Machine Shop in Albany, Oregon. I decided to take the little 1.8 apart and polich the valve cover, and head. The to paint the block. The problem is I can't find the gaskets I'll need any where. The guy's at NAPA looked at me as if I was reterded  (didn't even look it up in the computer) They even asked me why I would do that  He told me that sometimes you just have to shoota dieing horse. If that were the fact, there just wouldn't be any classics around today. So now, I am back at your mercy guys, Please, Please, Please, Help me to find this set. I went to Hansen's hoping he would know and he said that when he rebuilt it was dropped off with everthing needed already and the guy kept everthing like boxes etc. ( dead end)

NAPA has a headset listed as with a ton of other parts. I took a guess on the year but here is a 75.

Here is one at O'reillys

Time to find a new counter person at NAPA, if you ask for a part they should look it up on the computer or even a book, not tell you to find a new engine or let the car die.

Went to O'Reilly store today and I'll be, They had it in stock!!talked to the manager and he told me if I needed anymore parts, just to call. When it comes in they will give me a call. Most Awesome experience I ever had with a parts store and I've had a lot, racing and all. Didn't need to set up an account or anything!! I think I made the biggest order I ever have in my life at one time. When the wife see's the bill, I guarantee she look like---------------> but, you know it's worth it! I mean this is a LUV.
