Hi Everyone,
I have a 1974 LUV. The problem I'm having is that in order to start or keep it running I have to pull my choke out almost all of the way. Even then when I let the clutch out it seems to bog down like it's going to quit. I'm in San Antonio where we are 100+ degrees every day, so I highly doubt it's to cold to run.
ANY ideas would be helpful
Thanks

Yeah I have to choke my wife till she runs,,, , ,,,
Wait you meant YOUR TRUCK! my first guess would be
a vacuum leak, second guess, fueling issue. Put the aircleaner
On it and spray ether or contact cleaner around the hoses
And if it suddenly revs up that's where your problem is.

Check the float level. My 77 has a little window at the front of the float bowl. Gas should be half way up.

I took a look at my EGR valve, someone capped it off, I don't know where the hose should be going.

hi! yes the egr may be the issue but i believe its definitely a fuel issue! if ya have to choke it that means the primary jet may be clogged or dirty. i rebuilt my carb on my 79 so if ya have any questions just pm me! or maybe just maybe a bad fuel filter? but more likely carb or fuel issues. :eugeek
