So, I'm doing the distributor swap and came across a variable I hadn't seen mentioned when searching the topic. I have a little capacitor(?) that is screwed to the AC compressor with a black lead that went up to the stock distributor. Anyone know what this might be and what I should do with it? Thanks and apologies if this was covered previously.

From my understanding, the condenser is attached to the distributor itself(There is one on there with a blue wire). The thing I'm referring to was wired to the same terminal as the condenser, but was attached to the AC compressor. Maybe the stock condenser went out and this was the replacement, but the faulty stock one was left as well?
