2wd 4sp & 5sp MSG trannies are the same length, the 4sp has an extended tail housing that contains 5th gear on the 5sp. Tranny mounts are in the same place, not sure about the shifter location. The tailshaft slip yoke on the 5sp probably has more splines and a larger diameter, for that reason the 4sp drive shaft may not be a bolt-in. 4wd are all different, you have to mod both driveshafts & shifter holes & the tranny mount but the 5sp can still be swapped in.
