Get a replacement bolt in hand take the truck to a shop. With the vehicle on a lift and a professional mechanic with a box of tools it should be a quick fix. You might get charged a hour labor, that is cheaper then a rebuilt transmission

thats why i have a 4" pipe wrench the jaws open to i think 1.5" and theres very few places i cant use it....

heres my advice... and this doesnt come out often pay some one else to do it.... yes i agree its more gratifying to repair stuff your self but from the sounds of it you dont have the tools or the ability to get your self out of a sticky pickle you find your self in... shop cost to pull the bolt $60-$100 cost to fix transmission thousands... theres no priceless in this situation

on the fill plug the pipe wrench will work. It supplies more torque than locking pliers as the more you turn the tighter it gets. And i add 2.5 pints to my luv. Same year. Through the shifter after i drain. But i remember now my drain plug was stuck and i took it to the shop and they had it out in no time and didnt charge me anything. Good luck buddy.
